Welcome to the website of the Lausanne Issue Group on
Religious and non-religious Spirituality in the Western World

Dear visitor!

The 2004 Forum for World Evangelization, hosted by the Lausanne Movement, was held September 29 - October 5. It brought together more than 1,500 Christian leaders from around the world to focus on the task of global evangelism. The Forum was a working consultation with leaders exchanging information and ideas for several months before attending the September gathering.

Through a comprehensive world-wide research effort, thirty one specific issues were identified as roadblocks to evangelism.

This website is the virtual forum of a follow up network of Issue Group 16 on the RELIGIOUS AND NON-RELIGIOUS SPIRITUALITY IN THE POST-MODERN WORLD. Our final statement from the 2004 Forum is published as a Lausanne Occasional Paper (LOP) No. 45. You will find a full copy at: www.lausanne.org/lcwe/assets/LOP45_IG16.pdf.

We are planning on a mini consultation in Hong Kong in the Fall of 2006. The discussions in this online forum will be part of the preparation for this consultation and active participation will be requiered in order to attend. It will be possible to take part in the online discussions also if you don't have the opportunity to participate in Hong Kong.

By registering as a member of this forum, you will be able to post comments in the discussions. Parts of the discussions will be closed and only accessible to members registered as Discussion Participant or Conference Participant. To be upgraded to one of those groups, you need to contact webmaster@lop45.org and ask for change in you registration. We keep the right at any point to change or delete your membership status.

Check out the invitation to the Hong Kong Consultation here or look around in the Discussion Forums and help us become wiser.
